Mr. Jawa served as an executive of the Indian subsidiaries of several air conditioning manufactures before being appointed as the Managing Director of Daikin India in 2010. He localized the business management and in 2012, entered the residential air conditioner market by introducing the products with environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant ahead of competitors, promoting energy efficiency in air conditioning products in India. He grew Daikin into the top air conditioning manufacture in India. In June 2018, he became the first non-Japanese board member of Daikin Industries Ltd. Currently, he is responsible for business development not only in India but also across emerging markets in South Asia and Africa.
