Marie-Laure Akin-Olugbade is a seasoned Cameroonian executive who has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of the African Development Bank, effective October 4, 2024. With over 32 years of experience in capital markets, treasury, asset management, and strategic leadership, she has established a strong reputation as a results-oriented leader. Previously, Akin-Olugbade served as Vice President for Regional Development, Integration, and Business Delivery, where she oversaw a $9 billion portfolio in West Africa and spearheaded critical economic integration initiatives.

Her career at the African Development Bank began in 1991 within the Treasury Department, and she has held several leadership roles, including Country Manager for Ghana, where she managed a $1 billion portfolio. Akin-Olugbade holds a master’s degree in applied economics from Université Paris-Dauphine and a postgraduate degree in management from Université Panthéon-Sorbonne in France. Recognized for her extensive expertise and commitment to effective team management, she is dedicated to enhancing the Bank's contribution in delivering programs that benefit regional member countries.
