Sadaharu Saiki(a.k.a. Sada), Founder & GP at Sunny Side Venture Partners, based in Cairo, Egypt, is passionate about finding startups with good ambitions and supporting them in scaling their businesses & their impact into the world. He worked at Dentsu Inc., one of the largest marketing and advertising companies in the world, for 6 years in Tokyo, Japan, mainly serving Toyota’s global marketing team, and 3 years in Bangalore, India, engaging in helping Japanese multinational corporations expand in India, before he went to study at Harvard Business School(HBS). At HBS, he was a VP of Africa Business Club and a member of Impact Investing Club and Consulting for Impact Club. While at HBS, he worked at Kepple Africa Ventures, a VC in Kenya and Working Capital Fund, an Omidyar Network-affiliated impact VC in Washington D.C. After graduating with distinction, he joined McKinsey & Company, and in 2022, founded Sunny Side Venture Partners, the first Asian VC based in North Africa. Sunny Side Venture Partners targets early-stage startups across Africa and the Middle East. It has so far invested in almost 20 startups across 15+ countries.
Sadaharu holds a Bachelor in Integrated Human Studies from Kyoto University and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction[Top 10% of the entire cohort] from Harvard Business School.
