Takamasa MATAKI completed his Master’s degree in Law from Keio University Graduate School in 2001. He joined the Consulting Division of Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. the same year. He is currently the Group Manager of the Infrastructure Industry Transformation Group within the Sustainability Business Consulting Department. His expertise lies in business strategy planning and corporate business transformation within the infrastructure sector, as well as Japan's industrial and trade strategies in ASEAN and Southwest Asia.

His notable publications include "Business Opportunities for Japanese Companies to Address Urban and Social Issues in India," published in the JMC Journal in 2022, and "Promoting India's Manufacturing Industry and Japan's Role: Balancing 'Selection and Concentration' with 'Diversity,'" featured in the Regional Culture Research journal, March 2015, Issue No. 16.
