Kendy is Head of Defence, Oceania at Fujitsu, where she leads the defence portfolio across the region, engaging closely with government and industry on long-term capability, alliance cooperation, and the conditions required to deliver defence outcomes at scale, speed, and agility.
Widely regarded as a trusted voice within the defence community, Kendy brings more than two decades of experience spanning operational, policy, ministerial and industry environments. Her career includes operational deployments in Afghanistan and the Middle East, senior policy and strategy roles within the Australian Department of Defence, service in the Australian Defence Minister’s office, and leadership positions supporting mission-critical defence environments in industry.
Kendy is particularly recognised for her perspective on how alliance advantage is built in the decisions made between crises, through industrial alignment, sustainment decisions, and trusted relationships that allow capability to be absorbed, adapted, and relied upon when it matters most. Earlier in her career, she served as a Defence scientist and has since held senior roles shaping defence capability development, operational concepts, and policy frameworks, including work related to grey-zone activities and information warfare.
She is Deputy President of the Royal United Services Institute ACT, contributing to defence and strategic policy dialogue.
