Professor Michelle Simmons AC is the world's leading quantum materials scientist and Founder and CEO of Silicon Quantum Computing (SQC). Michelle is the pioneer of atomic electronics. SQC is both a leader in the race to build the first fault tolerant commercial scale quantum computer and the highest precision engineering company in the world, patterning chips with 0.13 nanometer accuracy. A fellow of Royal Society and the American Academy of Arts and Science, Michelle was awarded the Prime Minister's Prize for Science in 2023 and was the 2018 Australian of the Year.
