Japan and Australia are deepening cooperation in all areas, including trade, investment, security and people-to-people exchanges. Australia, a country with a stable supply of resources and energy, is embarking on new initiatives with Japan to decarbonise society, and the two countries, which share values such as democracy, are expected to strengthen their partnership from a geopolitical perspective. Nikkei is hosting the event in September for the first time in nine years, bringing together top business leaders, policymakers and experts to discuss the next steps for the future prosperity of both countries and Asia.

During lunch, Nikkei journalists will hold a roundtable discussion on Australia-Japan relations.
They will be taking questions from the participants and also want to engage in dialogue.
