KAORI TAKAHASHI

Kaori is a senior producer at Nikkei Inc, where she produces global events such as the Nikkei Forum in Sydney, the Future of Asia and the Global Management Dialogue. Before taking on this role in 2023, she was head of the newsroom at Nikkei CNBC (2020-23) and was also a senior staff writer at the Nikkei (2019-23). Kaori joined the Nikkei in 1994 and has covered city news, international news, lifestyle and business news. From 2013, she spent five years as the Nikkei's first female Sydney bureau chief, covering politics, global resources and international trade in the Asia-Pacific region. Kaori is a graduate of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. She studied at St Anne's College, Oxford University from 1990 to 1991.
