Naoya Yoshino

Naoya Yoshino is an executive officer and news editor at Nikkei Inc. As a political reporter, Mr. Yoshino has covered 17 prime ministers, from Morihiro Hosokawa to Sanae Takaichi, and has also covered economic ministries such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Financial Services Agency. From April 2012 to March 2017, he served as a Washington correspondent, reporting on the U.S. presidential elections in 2012 and 2016 from the field. From April 2020 to March 2023, Mr. Yoshino was the head of the political department. From April 2023 to March 2024, he served as the head of the policy reporting unit. From April 2024 to March 2025, Mr. Yoshino was the Head of the International News Center.

Currently, Mr. Yoshino is hosting the podcast program “Naoya Yoshino's NIKKEI News Highlights” on Radio NIKKEI.
