Jean-Pascal Tricoire, 51 years old, started his career at the telecoms firm Alcatel in 1985 before moving to the management consultancy firm Schlumberger and then onto the construction firm St Gobain the following year. He then moved to the electrics company Merlin Gerin, which was subsequently acquired by Schneider Electric.
From 1988 to 1999, he spent the majority of his time working abroad at Schneider Electric’s international operations, with a five year stint in Italy, five years in China, and another year in South Africa.
From 1999 to 2001, he served in corporate functions as head of Schneider Electric's Global Strategic Accounts.
From January 2002 to end of 2003, Jean-Pascal Tricoire became Executive Vice-President of the International Division. In October 2003, he was named Chief Operating Officer.
In May 2006, the Supervisory Board appointed Jean-Pascal Tricoire Chairman of the Management Board & Chief Executive Officer and named Chairman & CEO in April 2013.
Jean-Pascal holds a degree in Electronic Engineering and a MBA.
