JAPAN-INDIA-AFRICA BUSINESS FORUM

OVERVIEW

Countries of the so-called “Global South” make up half of the world’s population. Strengthening relations with the “Global South” will not only contribute to the stabilization of international order. By harnessing its growth potential and by building a resilient supply chain for strategic goods, strong relations with the “Global South” will lead to the invigoration of Japanese industry. With an eye on the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) in Yokohama in August 2025, this public-private forum will be held with the objective of strengthening relations with India and the region to her west. The forum will invite political and business leaders and experts to discuss the prospects and potential of the mega economic zone that encompasses India and the region to her west, the possibilities and challenges of tapping the economic zone through collaboration by Japanese and Indian companies, and the role to be played by public-private partnerships.
